Make recovery part of the plan.

Use a simple weekly check to notice when training, matches, school, sleep, and stress stop balancing well.

01

Check the full load

  • Team training, matches, school soccer, camps, and individual work
  • Travel time, late nights, early mornings, and academic pressure
  • Growth-related soreness, illness, and the emotional load of competition
02

A 30-second daily check

  1. How did I sleep?
  2. Is soreness improving, unchanged, or getting worse?
  3. Do I feel interested in training, or persistently flat and irritable?
03

Adjust early

  • Reduce or remove optional work when the week is already heavy.
  • Tell a coach and trusted adult about persistent pain, dizziness, unusual fatigue, or a meaningful change in mood.
  • Use qualified medical guidance for injury, illness, or symptoms that concern you.
04

Recovery is individual

Two players on the same team can carry very different total loads. Use the plan to start a conversation, not to diagnose an injury or prescribe a universal number of hours.
