Know what you are buying in recruiting.

Define the job

1. Are we paying for video hosting, school research, writing feedback, event entry, or a verified introduction?
2. What exact work will the service complete, what must the player do, and what is not included?
3. Could we perform this task ourselves with the school list, film, and direct coach contact we already have?

Verify before paying

• Named staff, complete price, contract term, cancellation and refund terms
• Recent, verifiable examples that match the player’s level and goals
• A plain explanation of coach relationships—who will contact whom, and how
• Clear privacy and consent practices for a minor’s video, academics, contact details, and account access

Test an ID camp or showcase

1. Would this school still be a serious option if the player receives no soccer offer?
2. Which coaches are actually scheduled to evaluate, and can that change?
3. What interaction is allowed under the current rules for this player’s grade and division?
4. What is the format, player-to-coach ratio, total cost, refund policy, and follow-up process?

Walk away from pressure

• Guaranteed roster spots, scholarships, professional contracts, or coach responses
• Urgency that prevents reading the contract or checking the school directly
• Vague claims of exclusive relationships with no named, verifiable evidence
• Requests to exaggerate statistics, impersonate the player, hide who is contacting coaches, or share passwords
